Author Study (Table)


In our Reading and Writing Our Hub has been learning about Author Study for 2 Weeks and i did Dr Seuss and yeah thats it ok bye.

What we had to do.

  1. Prepare six good questions about your author. Answer these in complete sentences. Try to use what, why, which, how, do you think, and compare questions. Punctuate correctly please.
  2. Write a letter to a friend describing this author’s style, language features, and who their target audience might be and say why you think that.
  3. Find a newspaper article about your author. Link it to your slide and write a 15 word headline to summarise the article.
  4. Analyse the types of sentences your author uses. Are they effective? Say why/why not Does your author use a range of sentence types?
  5. Write a character profile of a person in your book ten years older or younger than he / she was in the story.
  6. Write a different ending for both of your books, in the style of your author.
  7. Make a timeline of the events in the life of your author.
  8. Create a animation of the important events in your author’s career.
