In our Reading and Writing Our Hub has been learning about Author Study for 2 Weeks and i did Dr Seuss and yeah thats it ok bye.
What we had to do.
- Prepare six good questions about your author. Answer these in complete sentences. Try to use what, why, which, how, do you think, and compare questions. Punctuate correctly please.
- Write a letter to a friend describing this author’s style, language features, and who their target audience might be and say why you think that.
- Find a newspaper article about your author. Link it to your slide and write a 15 word headline to summarise the article.
- Analyse the types of sentences your author uses. Are they effective? Say why/why not Does your author use a range of sentence types?
- Write a character profile of a person in your book ten years older or younger than he / she was in the story.
- Write a different ending for both of your books, in the style of your author.
- Make a timeline of the events in the life of your author.
- Create a animation of the important events in your author’s career.
